La Musique de Louisianne Inc., as The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame announces our sponsorship and participation program for the LMHOF Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan (BBMC), including the Bayou Bicentennial Birthday Bash - Baton Rouge, both part of our BAYOU BICENTENNIAL in celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Louisiana's admission as a State on April 30, 1812. We are currently raising funds to produce the event and offering participation opportunities and sponsorships (both BBMC and the Birthday Bash, overall or specific location) through our Krewe Musique.
"What does a BBMC event consist of?" A BBMC event consists of "a birthday celebration for Louisiana citizens" honoring our 200th "birthday." Music from all-star and LMHOF backing bands and LMHOF artists along with Birthday cake and ice cream, free... no admission charge. Each event will feature Louisiana music have professional sound and production and will be produced by the LMHOF will local partnering. "What is Krewe Musique?" KM is sponsorship and participation program for the LMHOF, applied for this series of events, the Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan from La Musique de Louisianne Inc., the IRS certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, that has been declared by the Louisiana Legislature as the "official" honors and recognition organization and information resource for Louisiana's music, (link) that operates and does business as The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame. "Why are the events being held?" The LMHOF Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan began as an event for April 29, 2012 for Baton Rouge to celebrate Louisiana's 200th Birthday (statehood) publicly. The concept has been forwarded and expanded by the LMHOF and numerous musicians supporting the plan to go statewide over a one to two month period ending in Baton Rouge on April 29th, 2012, as originally conceived. The LMHOF Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan will be held across the state with the closing event, the Birthday Bash, being held in Downtown Baton Rouge at the rivefront.
"When are the events being held?" The LMHOF Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan will be held across the state during March and April of 2012, with the closing event, the Birthday Bash, being held in Baton Rouge on April29, 2012.
"What is the LMHOF Bayou Bicentennial Music Caravan?" The LMHOF BBMC is a series of music events across the state, "bringing the Bicentennial to the people of Louisiana" through totally free music events featuring birthday cake and ice cream for all present in celebration of Louisiana's 200th Birthday as a state of the USA. The BBMC is scheduled to run, beginning in March, til April 29, 2012 in cities, towns and villages throughout Louisiana.
"Who is presenting and sponsoring the LMHOF BBMC?" The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame (through La Musique de Louisianne Inc.) is the originator and executive producer of the BBMC series of events and sponsorship is currently being solicited from individuals and companies across the state of Louisiana.
“How can I support or participate in these historic events?” The first thing you can do is to become a member of the Friends of The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame support group and simply donate to LMDL/LMHOF to assist us in general funding, including this once-in-a-lifetime project. Or, you may elect to Donate directly to the BBMC through one of the Sponsor opportunities below.
"Are donations tax deductible?" Your KM participation, like all donations to LMDL/LMHOF, is tax deductible under IRS rules governing 501(c)(3) certified entities.
"Why should I decide to participate now?" This event is literally a once-in-a-lifetime. The celebration of the 200th Birthday of Louisiana as a State.

EVENT SPONSOR - 1 only per event/location - $5,000+ - the main benefactor of a specific total event (excluding BR, NO, LFY). top tier logo and name recognition in advertising, signage, etc. - for a specific event with mention in all interviews etc. in that area - or logo recognition for the series

"What's this about a parade in these events?" Preliminarily, the Bayou Bicentennial Birthday Bash - BR closing BBMC event was planned with a parade at the Baton Rouge Riverfront. At this time, the parade is not scheduled. During the April 29th, 2012 Baton Rouge event, around 4PM, there will be a cake cutting at the stage and the unveiling of a giant birthday cake (and ice cream) for all present to share. Immediately following will the celebration concert at the stage featuring artists from the "Louisiana Artists for the Bicentennial" CD, which will also be available for sale at the events along with the Louisiana Bicentennial Music poster. And finally, with partnering and funding (if available),the "candles for the cake," a riverfront fireworks display to close the evening at dark (approximately 7 PM).
