Louisiana Music Hall of Fame - LOUISIANA SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION

The LSA is an important, functioning 29 year 501(c)(3) nonprofit Louisiana Corporation. The addition of this "sister" nonprofit to the La Musique de Louisianne Inc. and Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame structure allows us to more easily implement many of our already progressing programs and open new projects.

The LSA will be working in harmony with the LMHOF to continue to move the music and artists of Louisiana forward as we work together to build a "viable music industry in and for the State of Louisiana.

The LOUISIANA SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION announces that membership registration is OPEN! As The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame continues to work to develop and create a "viable music industry in and for Louisiana," we are proud to announce that the first State-wide organizational effort for songwriters is now officially under way through our LOUISIANA MUSIC INDUSTRY database project.

The purposes of the registration & membership process are simply, to create a database of Louisiana's songwriters and other indusrty people, to organize songwriters as part of our efforts to help build the music industry of Louisiana, provide a verify an actual number of interested, dues-paying songwriters to seek programs and business partners to aid the musicians of Louisiana, and to create a verifiable "force" in the music business by:
- showing the number of songwriters with legitimate interest in the business,
- providing a path for communications to, from and between songwriters, musicians and other industry workers,
- helping to network for bookings, gigs, etc.,
- giving songwriters an advocate and voice to help build our music industry.
Dues are $25 ANNUALLY.

*inclusion in the Louisiana Music Industry database with 2 available links, web site/phone number/address inclusion, a very brief point of interest about the musician and a graphic if one is available and appropriate for the database setup.
*a MUSIC INDUSTRY MINI-AD in Musique de Louisianne Magazine, published online through the web site of the LMHOF.
