The purposes of the registration & membership process are simply, to create an organization of musicians to help build/rebuild the music industry of Louisiana, provide a group to seek programs and business partners to aid the musicians of Louisiana,  and to organize the musicians of Louisiana in such a manner as to create a verifiable "force" in the music business by:

   -  showing the number of musicians with legitimate interest in the business,

   -  providing a path for communications to, from and between musicians,

   -  helping to  network for bookings, gigs, etc.,

   -  giving musicians an advocate and voice to help build/rebuild our industry.

During the calendar year of 2010, all Louisiana musicians are able to register with & join the LMA for a one-time, "lifetime" fee of $20.  NO ANNUAL DUES!  The registration and membership fee is tax deductible.

The Louisiana Musicians Association is operated through La Musique de Louisianne Inc., an IRS certified 501(C)(3) not-for-profit foundation. LMDL also is the parent foundation of The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame, and has a sister foundation, the Louisiana Songwriters Association which is also separately IRS certified as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation. LMDL, LMHOF, LSA and LMA are all are registered with the State of Louisiana.
