La Musique de Louisianne Inc. has received stamped final approval from the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, and has received signed approval from Jay Dardenne, Louisiana Secretary Of State to use the name and dba "The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame". All gifts and donations are tax deductible. The mission of the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame is to educate the citizens of Louisiana, the United States and the world through this web site, followed by television and radio offerings and, as time and funding allows, through Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame & Rockin' Louisiana Cafe facilities, to the incredible musical heritage of Artists, Writers, Musicians and Industry talented people who made LOuisiana's music the best in the world for decades. Louisiana is the cradle of the Blues and the birthplace of Jazz, Dixieland, Rhythm & Blues, Rockabilly, Rock & Roll and Zydeco. Louisiana's musical heritage is second to none in quality, yet remembered by so few of our own citizens. Across the world in Europe, Great Britian and Japan, Louisiana's music is respected as the best. Even in the northern and northeastern states of our country, Louisiana's music is respected, and it's histroy making artists are remembered with love. This web site will serve as a front end for the disemmination and distribution of information for and about the legendary artists and musicians of Louisiana. In coming months, you will be able to find incredible memorabalia from and about our Inductees, audio and video clips from and about our Inductees, educational and historically accurate audio and video pods and E-book downloads from and about our inductees. All information gathered and created by The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame will be shared with the Louisiana State Archives. Our goal is to "remember" our Artists and Musiucians and, in doing so, help them and our state to regain lost prominence in the music community. Louisiana's food is a well known and honored commodity, but our music is just as impressive and just as important. It also deserves to be returned to its rightful place. La Musique de Louisianne Inc. was formed to preserve and present the heritage of the music and the music business of the State of Louisiana by honoring achievement in talent, performance, writing and technical and business aspects of the industry; providing educational materials and educational assistance on Louisiana Music and Artists to schools and other interested parties, and to perpetuate the music and music business of Louisiana and its’ legacy of excellence by presenting and aiding selected new talent. La Musique is currently seeking to occupy a facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Louisiana’s Capitol and, now, largest city. The facility will include a franchise type "Rockin' Louisiana Cafe" featuring memorabilia and nostalgia including records, sleeves, posters, etc., and "The Louisiana Music Walk Of Fame" similar to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame honoring Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame Inductees.Regional mini facilities are planned for the future in New Orleans, Lafayette and Shreveport to coincide with the Regional Artists areas. The facilities can be simple viewable locations, "Rockin' Louisiana Cafe" theme types with soda fountain type atmosphere and limited refreshments, full RLCafe and LAMWoF with music venue for presentation of our Artists in live performance or full blown multi-area museum including some static physical displays as well as its' primary multimedia presentations driven by current digital technology. Physical displays will include original artwork of Inductees, Inductees ‘memorabilia, pictures, awards and other items. The technological displays will include large screen menu driven professionally narrated presentations of Inductees and their achievements featuring archive footage as well as current produced live footage, historical materials and interviews. A television series, "Louisiana Ticket" will feature Artists Live recorded performances and interviews. An organization for supporters of La Musique de Louisianne Inc.'s Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame has been formed as Krewe Musique de Louisianne. The Baton Rouge facility will feature several sections divided by musical and geographical criteria with Inductees being divided into the following areas and displays, the Louisiana: Country & Western Hall of Fame, Folk & Cajun/Zydeco Hall of Fame, Gospel & Religious Hall of Fame, Jazz & Dixieland Hall of Fame, Recording & Performance Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame, Acadiana Regional Hall of Fame, Baton Rouge Area Regional Hall of Fame, New Orleans Area Regional Hall of Fame andNorth Louisiana Regional Hall of Fame. Additionally, La Musique is represented on the world wide web by a multimedia oriented web site featuring biographies, streaming video and audio clips, links to individual artists web sites and other museums and facilities of interest, just to mention a few. This web site is currently available while under development at: www.lamusiquedelouisianne.com www.louisianamusichalloffame.org Inductees will be considered from Artists and music business men and women that have contributed by deed and talent to create the outstanding music of the State of Louisiana and will be picked in their applicable Music or Regional Hall(s) from the following categories: - Native Artists (born in Louisiana) Initially, priority will be given to older artists in order to preserve and record their heritage as well as possible. Induction ceremonies will be accompanied by concert performances of Louisiana Artists and La Musique's Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame Inductees in areas across the State of Louisiana, and may be accompanied by fund raising events. To help create our facilities presentations, all produced and staged events of La Musique will be professionally photographed and recorded in HDV digital video and multi track digital audio and, with releases from participating artists, will be aired through public or private broadcasting facilities as “Louisiana Ticket”, similar in form to current offerings from PBS.The name “Louisiana Ticket”, will also be used on a television series featuring Louisiana Music and Artists in showcase via live recordings from La Musique supported venues and events as well as interviews with Louisiana Artists .Some recordings of the events may be additionally offered in limited release via DVD with additional information and portions of the facility’s presentations in commerative form. Currently, we have arrangements for "Louisiana Ticket" to air in over twenty parishes from Slidell to Thibodaux to Lafayette. Each major Induction event will be depicted artistically in a commerative painting or poster for the facility, and each Inductees presentation piece will be original derived artwork from the Artist's career. Reproductions of the original artwork will also be offered for sale as a fund raising item in several sizes and forms, and may accompany fund raiser tickets as memorabilia. Fund raising productions and concerts will include Inductees past and present, Louisiana Artists and up and coming Louisiana Artists in showcase. New albums featuring special presentations of Louisiana Artists & Louisiana Music in unique recordings and collaborations will be produced and offered as fund raising devices and industry releases to stand on their own merit in the market. Also, in the fundraising plans is a coffee table book featuring released photographs of Louisiana Artists, posters and waybills from Louisiana musical venues and events, current photos of Louisiana Artists and reproductions of La Musique’s original artwork from our posters and inductions, as well as a unique book and DVD combination product reflecting the history of popular music in Louisiana. Our main facility, set for Baton Rouge's Downtown, will be accompanied by a franchisable "Rockin' Louisiana Cafe" theme cafe featuring individually unique tabletop and countertop reproductions of Louisiana Music memorabilia and overall decorations highlighting the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame and the Louisiana Music business and its' rich history will adorn the facility. Also projected for our Downtown Baton Rouge facility is the "Louisiana Music Walk Of Fame", sidewalk inlay of Inductees, featuring their year of induction. Corporate sponsors are welcomed for assistance in the facility as well as events. All available grants, private and municipal/state assistance funding sources will be sought. All funds will be supervised under the oversight of an attorney and CPA and will comply with all reporting, disbursement and collection standards under our IRS 501 (c) (3) granted status. An Advisory Board composed of selected individuals with an interest and background in Louisiana music and the Louisiana music business will provide input in the selection of artists, as well as lending their expertise to the success of the project..
