The purposes of the registration & membership process are simply, to re-create this 26 year old organization of songwriters to help build/rebuild the music industry of Louisiana, provide a group to seek programs and business partners to aid the songwriters of Louisiana,  and to organize Louisiana's songwriters in such a manner as to create a verifiable "force" in the music business by:

   -  showing the number of songwriters with legitimate interest in the business,

   -  providing a path for communications to, from and between songwriters,

   -  helping to  network for bookings, gigs, collaborations, rights protection, etc.,

   -  giving songwriters an advocate and voice to help build/rebuild our industry.

During the calendar year of 2010, all Louisiana songwriters are able to register with & join the LSA for a one-time, "lifetime" fee of $40.  NO ANNUAL DUES!  The registration and membership fee is tax deductible.

The Louisiana Songwriters Association is an IRS certified 501(C)(3) not-for-profit foundation of over 25 years, and is registered with the State of Louisiana.
