La Muisque de Louisianne Inc. is proud to announce The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame 2007 Baton Rouge Fall Fundraiser event Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Baton Rouge River Center provided the crowd with a number of spectacular performances The night's highlights included performance of his unforgettable hit, "Sea Of Love" by Phil Phillips, a wonderful version of "I'm Leaving It All Up To You" by Grace (Broussard), of Dale & Grace, and Troy Shondell, followed by a film presentation of Dale (the recently departed Dale Houston) & Grace and a moving tribute by Tommy McLain to Dale by performance of his classic hit "Sweet Dreams". Dick Holler, Lenny Capello and Merlin Jones recreated their original recording of Don Smith & Cyril Vetter's "Double Shot Of My Baby's Love" under the watching eyes of recording legend Cosimno Matassa, after which Dick Holler performed his amazing composition, "Abraham, Martin & John" to the awe struck crowd. Kenny Neal brought the house to its' feet with his tribute to the late Slim Harpo and Buster Brown's "Fannie Mae", and Dale Hawkins rocked everything with his rockabilly energy and his incredible "Susie Q". WOW! All in one show, just to mention a few highlights among dozens. In the next day or so, we will have posted the Induction artwork of our on-stage Inductees, photos of their Induction & acceptance, and candids from their performances. KEEP LOOKING....IT WON'T TAKE LONG! "Some amazing special events and presentations have been arranged that will amaze and bring a smile to all." This pre event promise was fulfilled and much, much more. Artists performances were backed by the All Star Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame Rhythm Section featuring Lenny Capello, Randy Civello, Joe Miceli, T-Boy Lasalle, Rupert Walden, Tom Guillot, Joe Dick, Chris Guillot, Burton Guidry, Rick Staton, and Tommy Miceli; the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame horn section featuring Lynn Dugas, Ronnie Goodson, Andrew Bernard, Charlie Favrot , Jimmy Miller and trumpet soloist Ed Dowling, and the "Famettes" Barbara Calmes and Lisa Bayhi. An incredible backing ensemble for any Artist to have!!! La Musique de Louisianne Inc,, The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame is an IRS certified and approved tax exempt, non profit organization dormed and dedicated to preserving and presenting the finest of Louisiana's incredibly rich Music Heritage and treasured Artists.
