"What is Friends of The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame (LMHOF)?"

The "Friends of LMHOF" is the membership and support organization and program of La Musique de Louisianne Inc., the IRS certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, commended and recognized by the State of Louisiana as Official, that operates and does business as The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame.  The mission of the LMHOF is to honor Louisiana's musical artists of note, while working to establish a revitalization of the music industry of Louisiana.

   “How can I get involved and how does it help?”

The first thing you can do is to become a member of Friends of LMHOF and, by doing so, assist us in funding projects that continue and fulfill our mission to honor, preserve and promote our great Louisiana music legacy. 

   "Why does it take so long to grow?"

It takes quite a lot of time as well as financial resources, to make proper contact, research, acquire and format artifacts, and develop bios and artwork in order to share the info, memorabilia and multimedia works of the artist for our ground-breaking GALLERIES MUSIQUE Virtual Museum to fully complete an induction.  

   "Is my donation tax deductible?"

Your membership directly supports these core functions and, like all donations to LMDL/LMHOF, is tax deductible under IRS rules governing 501(c)(3) certified entities.

   "Where is the Hall of Fame?"

The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame is, for the moment, right here on the world wide web, available to every person with internet access. Brick & mortar locations are a product of donations and fund-raising. It is our plan and intent to one day, establish a series of "home" and "satellite" physical locations across the State of Louisiana. We are currently active in location resolution in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

   "Why should I become a Friend and donate now?"

Our online GALLERIES MUSIQUE Virtual Museum is already proof enough that our efforts and projects are worthy of support. A good look through the albums will show that we are, in fact,

· bringing "lost" and previously inaccessible artists "to the stage" (sometimes quite literally - Phil Philllips);

· honoring aging artists while they are still with us (Benny Spellman);

· preserving rare performances (Dick Holler - Dave Bartholomew);

· locating and bringing forward lost works (Jimmie Davis - Lenny Capello);

and even more.

   "How does Friends of LMHOF work?"

Our membership levels are available to both individuals and businesses with perks and gifts avrying with level of Donation. 

Our BASIC membership level requires a Donation of only $25 and entitles you to receive a  printable, personalized e-certificate and enrollment to the News Musique e-NewsLetter.

With our Festival Seating level, you also receive a unique and exclusive "Friends" lapel pin, just for you, and begins with a Donation of $50 or more.

Our Floor seating level adds, to you, a CD of your choice from available LMHOF La Musique Records offerings, and begins with a Donation of $100 or more.

And our Front Row seating level also brings you a 100% cotton "golf shirt" embroidered with the Friends logo (as at the top of the page), and begins with a Donation of $250 or more (black - sizes S,M,L or XL).

 

 

   “What if I want to Donate a higher or different amount?”

 

As you Donate thru PayPal, for an amount different, simply fill in the desired amount.
